How often
Every six to eight wears, or sooner if you use styling product. Human hair on a piece has no scalp feeding it oil, so washing too often is what dries it out — not washing too little.
The routine
Wash with a sulphate-free shampoo in lukewarm water, air dry on a stand, and store away from direct sunlight. Avoid heat above 160 °C.
Detangle before, never after
Brush the piece out dry, from the ends upward, before it touches water. Wet hair stretches; a knot pulled while wet is how hair is lost from the base, and hair does not grow back on a piece.
Storage between wears
On a stand, or loosely in the box it arrived in. Not on a hook, not folded in a drawer, not on a car dashboard. Ninety days of limited warranty covers manufacturing faults, not heat damage.
