The video call
Overhead light lands on the parting and shows every edge. Tilt the screen slightly up, sit with a window in front of you rather than behind, and keep length off the shoulders so it does not shift each time you move.
The interview
Pick the length you already wear, not a new one. An interview is not the day to learn how a piece behaves. Secure the front clips a little further back than usual — you will touch your hair more than you think.
The everyday office
Air conditioning is dry, and dry hair tangles at the nape where a collar rubs. Brush that section out at the end of the day rather than the next morning; it takes thirty seconds fresh, and several minutes once set.
One habit worth keeping
Whatever the day, take the piece off the same way you put it on: front clips last to close, first to open. Repetition is what makes it invisible.
